The Story
Business Model: Data-driven platform that optimizes the management of natural sports grounds, mainly golf courses, by analysing weather, soil, and maintenance data
Growth: 20 to 150 client golf clubs worldwide in 2 years (primarily in Europe, extending now to international markets including the US, Canada, and Asia).
Technology: The platform developed in PHP/ Vue Js uses real-time data from weather stations/ sensors (Incl. AI, TL, see Below)
Platform Services: provide agronomic advice, help clubs reduce waste, optimize water and nitrogen use, and prevent turf diseases up to five days in advance.
Pricing: Subscriptions range from €600 to €4,000 per year, with 85% of clients opting for the premium €4,000 package; the company reports a high contract renewal rate.
Future Plans: Maya aims to reach profitability within 18 months, is considering a new funding round, and is now targeting professional football clubs as its next major market.
Founder: Valentine Godin, age 27, is the CEO and founder, based in Nivelles, Belgium.
